(Louisville, KY) -- The NCAA is denying Louisville's appeal of penalties levied against the men's basketball program, forcing the Cardinals to vacate wins from 2011-15.
That includes their 2013 national championship and 2012 Final Four appearance. The NCAA announced the ruling on Tuesday.
The penalties were handed down last year following a sex-for-pay scandal.
Louisville interim president Greg Postel said they disagree with the ruling and feel their cooperation during the investigation should have been a factor in the decision.
