LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Kentucky Derby fans will be greeted by major changes to entry and security procedures at Churchill Downs.
They include a new Paddock Gate that replaces gates 1 and 17 on the front side.
All fans will walk through metal detectors, and they will scan their ticket at a new self-scanning entry turnstile.
The prohibited items list includes coolers, umbrellas, weapons and alcohol.
