Derby Weekend Human Trafficking Sting Nets Arrests

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Four men have been arrested and over a dozen human trafficking victims have been assisted following a Derby weekend sting.

Louisville Police posted an ad for a 15-year-old on sites known for buying sex.

41 people called about the ad. In total, four men were arrested.

Mohith Akula, Jackson Jones, Ronnie Johnson and Deontae James are now charged with promoting human trafficking.

During the sting, police also located 13 women who were potential victims of human trafficking.

Those women have been given resources to help them get out of the industry.
