(Williamstown, KY) - The owners of the life-size replica of Noah's Ark are suing their insurance companies because they won't cover rain damage.

The ark's owners claim heavy rains in 2017 and 2018 caused a landslide on access roads that led to nearly one million dollars in damage.

Their lawsuit claims their five insurance carriers refuse to cover the expense.

Ark Encounter officials claim their replica is built to the exact dimensions in the Bible and it is the largest timber-frame structure in the world.

The 510-foot ark is located in Williamstown.
