LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Despite the absence of active military planes, Thunder Over Louisville organizers are promising an exciting air show on Saturday.
The federal sequester grounded the popular fighter jets that have flown in past air shows.
Civilian planes will mostly fill the skies this year. They include demo and aerobatic teams, such as Lima Lima.
UPS will fly one of its 767 jets over the river.
There will be some vintage and retired military aircraft in the show. The German Air Force is bringing a large cargo plane to town.
The air show begins at 3 p.m. Saturday.
