DO STUDENTS AT SOME SCHOOLS HAVE AN UNFAIR GPA ADVANTAGE? You bet they do, as some high schools "weight" harder classes and some don't.  This means that kids with identical coursework are getting different grade points for them.  Why does this matter?  For one student it is the difference between an $8,000 scholarship.  That student's dad is in at 10:30 to discuss.

DEAR COAL PRODUCERS, It's time we had a talk about what a second term means for a President.  It means he gets to propose what he wants without worrying about being re elected.  And since he said during his first campaign that he would simply make it prohibitively expensive to open a coal fired power plant, I would look to other nations for sales if I were you.  I hear China and India are nice this time of year.  Sincerely, Reality

WILL POT BE THE THING THAT BRINGS BACK THE 10TH AMENDMENT? Two states, Washington and Colorado legalized marijuana last Tuesday.  Only both states are now trying to figure out how to get around those pesky federal laws against the drug.  One Colorado Representative has a creative suggestion: simply exclude marijuana from the law giving the feds the upper hand.  Wouldn't it be ironic if states finally started to assert their rights under the 10th amendment because of weed?  Seriously, that would rich.
