IF IT'S JUST A FAKE SKY FAIRY Why would atheists care if God is mentioned? Of course they do, because this group of atheists are attention seeking media whores who give atheists a bad name. Which is ironic considering they say the Kentucky Homeland Security bill gives them a bad name.
SO THE MERGER THAT WAS DENIED...IS NOW BACK ON? University Hospital is going to merge with Kentucky One, which until recently was St. Marys, Jewish and St. Josephs healthcare. The merger was killed because some folks were concerned about being able to sterilize poor women right after they gave birth. Dang, that seems harsh as I type it, but it was the truth. Apparently, some fancy agreement has been struck to keep the Childrens and Women's facility under different management to get around the Catholic directives. Of course people will lose their minds about possibly not being able to abort babies and perform sterilizations in 3...2...1...
WOMEN IN CONGRESS SHOULD BE ASHAMED If they are part of this group of nincompoops who are calling GOP attacks on Susan Rice and her fantasy testimony "sexist" and "racist". If you want to run with the big dogs, get off the damn porch, ladies. Being an extremely powerful women in politics, as Susan Rice is, means you will face criticism, some of it harsh. To suggest that the criticism is bases on anything other than her performance on this issue is stupid and based in the victim ideology that so many Democrat women seem to cling to. You can have power without expecting someone to challenge it, and if you can't handle the criticism, perhaps you need to step down.
THE MIDDLE EAST IS EXPLODING I actually feel sorry for President Obama. I would be feeling sorry for President Mitt Romney, should he have been elected. The Middle East is exploding. It is getting harder and harder to argue that Israel is not ramping up for war. And leave it to Israel to demonstrate the capabliities of a missile defense system, which we call Star Wars. The same system President Obama killed in Europe. And that we won't fund here. I sure wouldn't want to be President right now and deal with all this.
I ALTERNATELY LOVE AND HATE THOMAS FRIEDMAN But this column falls in the "I think it's brilliant" category and it's on the nightmare facing Obama in the Middle East, and oddly, makes a great case for the brilliance of the Iraq War.
WOW! VICTORY TASTES JUST LIKE UNEMPLOYMENT Someone on my Twitter feed linked to this story Saturday and I seriously laughed when I saw it. The Labor Unions that shut down Twinkie are claiming victory. Let me repeat. The labor unions who refused to accept a contract that had been modified by bankruptcy court that lead to the complete shutdown of Hostess and the loss of EVERYONE'S job, is claiming victory. A friend of the worker indeed!
