WELL DONE, GOVERNOR.  SERIOUSLY. The Governor has come around to the notion that a constitutional amendment protecting the horse racing industry through expanded gaming won't fly.  I say get a clean bill, get it passed and let the chips fall where they may with the voters.  Pun intended.
 
"NON-INSTRUCTIONAL DUTIES"??? A JCPS teacher is facing felony charges for letting her underage son and his friends hang out drinking in a house with drugs and guns.  And JCPS has assigned her to non-instructional duties until the case is settled.  I'm all in favor of letting the courts do their business, but shouldn't she perhaps be SUSPENDED until that time?  She is a real winner and a fine representative of her school and JCPS. 
 
THE WHITE HOUSE IS A SAUSAGE FARM The War on Women is going strong.  In the White House.  This just entertains me.
 
EXERCISE...OR ELSE? In a random story about the world's fattest man slimming down I noticed a little add-on at the end.  From the Brits:

Why do I bring this up?  Because this is how socialized medicine works.  You do what they say, or they kick you out  of the program.  Or they prevent people who are not fat from enjoying a meal of "fatty grub" on occasion because other people are fat.  Just a look at what's coming.

WANT TO CHECK FACEBOOK?  LET'S DRUG MOM AND DAD! This story has sparked some serious conversation between my parent friends and non parent friends.  Seems two enterprising teens decided to slip her parents a mickey so they would go to sleep and the girls could use the internet.  The parents called the cops.  Parents say "good" but non parents seem to think that's excessive.  We shall discuss.
