THE SONG GAME IS BACK, AND THIS ONE IS A CAKE WALK
BLUEGRASS MONDAY IS BACK! Jim Waters in the studio today at 10 to kick off the New Year and talk about the Legislative session.
SENATOR MCCONNELL DRAWS A LINE IN THE SAND Senator McConnell was all over the Sunday talk shows yesterday, talking tough about not raising taxes (anymore). We shall see if he can follow through on this promise or if he ends up with egg on his face like Boehner.
I'M INCLUDING THIS FOR ONE REASON IT's news. But don't expect me to comment on this at all. I don't talk about politician's children unless they are actively campaigning and do something stupid. Ask Al Gore's son.
CRIPPLING PENSION COSTS? WHAT PENSION COSTS? In our lengthy discussions about pensions, we've not even touched on local pensions as part of the problem. Our own Mayor Fischer and Lexington's Mayor Jim Gray are going to be talking about that today at 10. Can't wait to hear what comes of this.
SO WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH KIDS TODAY? I love the American Freshman Survey. It's been going on since 1966 and provides a snapshot of how college freshman view themselves. And let's just say this group does not suffer from a crisis of confidence.
DIETING IS HARD, BUT THIS IS JUST GROSS I am never surprised at the lengths people will go to in an effort to lose weight easily, but this is just gross. Gross, I tell you.
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA...FOR LIFE? The last story is gross, but the thought of this makes my stomach turn. In a move that will go nowhere fast, a Democratic congressman who likes the idea of PrezBO4Life has filed a bill to repeal the 22nd Amendment. I'd rather repeal the bill of rights than let this happen.
THIS SCARES ME. BECAUSE IT MIGHT WORK There is some scuttlebutt that PrezBO is going to use crony capitalism to grease the wheels for gun control. Basically creating terms that favor mega retailer WalMart so they will support his gun control agenda. I have no confidence in the President's support of the 2nd Amendment and I'm certainly not sure that WalMart's support can't be bought either. I am officially concerned.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Libruls are funny when they are confused. And here I thought everyone paying their "fair share" was a good thing.
