CONGRESSMAN JOHN YARMUTH AT 11:15
SENATOR JULIE DENTON ISN'T PLAYING Sen. Denton has been doing tireless work behind the scenes digging into the mess that is Child Protective Services and Medicaid managed care. She knows what she's talking about because she's been talking to the front line workers who are overworked and overpaperworked. When she talks about inefficiencies putting our most vulnerable children at risk she knows of what she speaks.
DEMOCRATS IN THE HOUSE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES Rep. Brad Montell has introduced a charter school bill with a limit on the number of charter schools that could be created in a 5 year period. And instead of having a reasonable conversation about the actual data on charter schools, House Democrats have consulted their Masters over at the KEA and have declared the bill controversial so they don't have to enter the 21st century and pass a bill. What cowards. I realize they don't want to lose the stream of campaign money that flows from the KEA to Democrats, but it would nice if they would think for themselves for a change. Forty, that's 40 for House Democrats, states have already passed charter school legislation. We rank near the bottom nationwide for academic achievement and these fools think they know better than all the other states kicking our collective butts. I would be worried about offending someone, but unless someone from KEA reads this to them, I'm not concerned. Idiots.
I'M SURE A MEDICAID EXPANSION WILL GO JUST FINE Seems an unfortunate consequence of managed care that apparently no one warned several hundred Medicaid clinics about is a loss of funding to pay for services at these primary care clinics. If the clinics meet the Federal requirements they can continue to get needed funding. Maybe someone should have told the 155 clinics who have not applied for federal certification that their gravy train spigot was about to shut off. But instead they just lose all funding for 90 or 120 days. That probably won't hurt during flu season in a rural area.
IS THIS RACIST? A Mexican restaurant in South Carolina had shirts made to promote their business. Are tacos racist? Especially if you're selling them at your business?
OF COURSE THEY WANT HIGHER TAXES Because Democrats always want more of our money, which they think they loan to us. So sick of this and don't understand why people don't see through all this nonsense.
IT GETS HARDER AND HARDER I have never subscribed to the notion that Obama was a Muslim, but I will say that he is by far the most sympathetic to the Muslim cause President we've ever had. And now we have Egypt agitating for the release of the Blind Sheik. Let's see what happens with that, and Michelle Malkin has a great column about the whole story.
