APPARENTLY YOU CAN'T TALK YOURSELF OUT OF BEING SICK So I have a terrible head cold.  And thanks to the tornado sirens, I won't be getting needed rest, so it's off to the races.

NOTHING TO SEE IN THIS NEW POLL The C-J did a poll showing that 60% of Kentuckians believe that protecting gun owner rights is more important than gun control.  But you wouldn't know that from the headline. 

ASHLEY JUDD GETTING A DIVORCE So does a newly divorced woman stand a chance in the Senate race?  Wait, I don't really care.  I do wish her and her soon to be ex all the best though.  Divorce is hard and not any fun.  I don't recommend it. 

THE TALE OF TWO HEADLINES Today in the C-J there are two headlines.  First, we have this:

If you read the accompanying stories, you get two completely different sets of priorities by two different parties.  Sen. Julie Denton, a champion of Child Protective services, is a Republican.  Sen. Julian Carroll, a champion of public sector workers, is a Democrat.  Just thought that was interesting. 

BRING ON THE "FIGHTS AND DANCE GIRLS" Welcome to the 21st Century, Breckinridge County.  They voted yesterday to allow beer and liquor sales.  Best quote ever comes from a lifelong resident worried about booze bringing "fights and dance girls".  Watch it here.

JUST GO FOR A WALK AROUND THE BLOCK FOR PETE'S SAKE When I first saw a treadmill desk, I thought it was cool.  But then I realized it was just another gimmick people in offices use to make themselves feel different and special in a world of cubicles.  Now I find out it can actually reduce productivity.  Ha. 

SO THE ARAB SPRING IS GOING WELL Protestors are throwing rocks at the army as they protest against the death sentences of 21 men involved in a soccer riot, President Morsi, and the Muslim Brotherhood.  You want to know why I protect the 2nd Amendment?  Because I never want to be reduced to throwing rocks at an army.
