WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO HOUSE DEMOCRATS I think it is now completely apparent where the log jam in the Legislature is, and it ain't David Williams. Greg Stumbo is perfectly happy to punt pension reform to a Special Session (which costs taxpayers $64,000 a DAY) rather than try to work with the bipartisan pension reform board recommendations. He's trying to preserve the totally outdated defined benefits plan rather than consider the hybrid plan proposed by the Senate. I do agree that the Senate needs to give SOME notion of where the 100 million bucks they are planning on throwing at this thing by 2014 might come from, but to simply say, we'll wait for a special session so you can raise taxes more easily is a failure of leadership in the House. And it ain't David Williams fault this time.
DISABILITY HAS BECOME A RACKET I know entire families on disability whose only disability is an inability to putting as much effort into working as they do into gaming the system. And with the disability numbers SOARING under this POTUS I think we are going to see more stories like this one. I think this attorney and judge, if found guilty, should be sentenced for every crime against EVERY taxpayer in the Commonwealth, because they stole from all of us. Scumbags.
WHAT A GREAT ECONOMIC RECOVERY I'm telling you, the White House should be shaking it's shoes. This story about GE laying off workers may seem only local interest, but look at the reason WHY. Fewer large appliances were sold last year than the year before, and 2013 is off to a bad start. Not good news for the economy. Luckily, the POTUS said things are dandy in the SOTU speech, so that must be true.
MAKING SURE EVERY VOTE COUNTS: DEMOCRAT EDITION Even though Democrats love to say we don't need picture id because vote fraud is non-existent, we know they lie. And now some poll workers just trying to make sure their multiple votes counted are in trouble for cheating for Obama. That's my take on what happened anyway.
