A BEVY OF CONGRESSMEN TODAY Rep. Mike Pence at 9am, Rep. Brett Guthrie at 9:30, and Rep. John Yarmuth at 10. Phew, I'm exhausted already
WHAT? YOU MEAN THE PROJECTIONS WERE WRONG???? You know how I always ask what happens if toll projections for the Bridges Project are wrong? Well whatya know, it seems that the rosy projections put forth for the YUM! Center were...wait for it...wrong. That's right, they underprojected the overhead expenses BY NEARLY HALF. Almost 5 million bucks. So now what? There is a lot of fancy shuffling of responsibility in this article and even after reading it in it's entirety I still have no idea who is making up the shortfall. I'm guessing eventually it will be you and me and everyone else who pays taxes in the Metro. And from what I understand, the taxing district projects 6% growth per year forever, which is ridiculous. Will the YUM! become the prettiest and shiniest money sucking black hole ever? Maybe. Until the Bridges Project gets done.
NEWS FROM 50 YEARS AGO Proving once again that I should stop expecting Kentucky to get anything done in a timely fashion, the Senate moved yesterday to do away with the Confederate Soldiers Pension Fund. Maybe they've finally realized the South just may not rise again any time soon.
THE RELIGION OF PEACE STRIKES AGAIN The gunman in France who killed seven people, including three children outside a Jewish school, is dead. Good riddance. Let's not forget what religion he did this in the name of. Allah Akbar indeed.
JEB BUSH HAS HIS BACK Jeb Bush has endorsed Mitt Romney in a move that I think is designed to get this primary over. I have the utmost respect for Jeb Bush. Not sure how I feel about this though. Forbes poses an interesting question: Has Mitt killed the Tea Party? This question merely shows Forbes isn't paying attention the local and state races Tea Party candidates are actively pursuing.
