(As we head towards Sunday's clash between UK and UL, many of the Sports Pit contributors will give their insights and predictions on how the game will turn out.  First up is host of SportsTalk 84, Lachlan McLean)

I see a relatively low scoring game.

Louisville has scored more than 27 points at home only once in 13 games under Charlie Strong. They are adjusting to a new offensive system and the kicking game is a question mark. I think they'll move the ball but will they be able to sustain drives for 8+ plays?

Meanwhile only two teams in the nation had worse offenses than Kentucky last year and that bad UK team lost three starting offensive linemen! They'll start a freshman on the O-line, have only one proven WR and one of their best RB's is hurt. It's hard to imagine the Kentucky offense being significantly improved right out of the gate.

Add in the wet weather to limit scoring and I have trouble seeing lots of points for either team.

That being said, Louisville has more guys who can take it to the house on any given play and they should be able to exploit the young UK secondary a few times. Plus Bridgewater's ability to run will be a big advantage.

I think UofL gets up double digits by mid-2nd quarter and cruises from there.

PREDICTION:
Louisville 27
Kentucky 13
