(Headed into this weekend's game between UL and UK, the various contributors of the Sports Pit are giving their breakdown of the game.  Now up is Clear Channel producer and co-host of Sportsdrome Speedway Live Tuesday's @ 7pm on WKJK, Daniel Farish)

This will be the first year in a long time that UL is the favorite. Rich Brooks had UK going in the right direction, and Joker found a way to screw that up. Kragthorpe was slowly digging UL a grave, and Charlie Strong came along to revitalize the program.

Louisville pulled off a "shocking" upset last year in Commonwealth. UK fans can hope for the same this season from their Cats, but this guy doesn't think it’s possible. These programs were two ships passing in the night last season and neither is looking back.

UK continues to lose players, lose talent and under-recruit at vital positions. UL has loaded up at the skill positions and over-coached the big hogmolies in the trenches, determined to protect their prized possession Teddy Bridgewater.

The only advantage UK holds: an experienced D-Line against a still young Louisville O-Line. The best thing you can hope for in any sport is your strength against your opponent’s weakness. Louisville has that. The WR core is the best in the Big East, going up against the miserable secondary of the Wildcats. Well, the team is the Wildcats. The secondary is just pitiful.

The rain will hinder Louisville’s air attack, but with 13 running back’s on the depth chart, they will just keep chugging away.

Louisville– 24
