Now that you have the background, here is the problem. It needs to move. All-Star events have historically been, well, boring. They bring all of the superstars from the respective sport together in a made-for-TV contest. It’s a chance for the athlete’s to have some fun with each other. Celebrities come out and make sure they’re seen. But not much comes from them. In terms of “what’s at stake”, the order of importance is

NASCAR needs to move out of
Last year he won a rather boring All-Star Race and NASCAR changed the format for this year, eliminating the strategy JJ used to win in 2012. But
It has to be moved. Why? Because it’s getting boring. Forget the fact that JJ isn’t exactly my favorite (McMurray is, by the way). But it needs to be rotated between different tracks, more importantly different types of tracks.
The list of tracks that should be allowed to host it is short, in my mind. There are five.
Rockingham/North Wilkesboro – Who said the race had to be at a track on the schedule? These are two tracks that were taken off of the NASCAR schedule to make way for the “Cookie Cutter Era.”

1) It’s a Bruton Smith owned track. That man knows how to put on an event.

Problem with Vegas is getting the teams to make a trip all the way out west for a non-points event. Time will tell if the sanctioning body realizes the problem they have, and even more time may pass before they do something about it.
